The position is a global role and is responsible for solution implementation around Modern deployment environment through SCCM and Intune. A Workplace Engineer is an individual who works closely with our Architecture and Engineering team. An ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in workstations management and deployment for heavily locked-down environments along with understanding of Agile development methodologies. The primary function of this position is to manage workplace task projects and operational support activity. Additional responsibilities include conducting studies of system usage, making recommendations for improvements to the usability of automated tools, and identifying opportunities for increased adoption of orchestration technologies. Candidate should have hands-on experience of installing, configuring, integrating, testing, and supporting both custom built and off-the shelf automation solutions for a range of IT infrastructure and application delivery processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role requires close workings across multiple IT departments to address their needs through an end-to-end project execution lifecycle within End User eXperience team in a global environment.
Key member of our Escalation team interfacing, collaborating, and governing all work related to this role.
Real time troubleshooting related to SCCM/Intune issues.
Designs, develops, documents, and revises environment or solution.
Create documents as per requirements and project needs.
End to end migration strategy for the windows and Mac based package or smoke testing for the apps like LOB [MSI, MSIX, APPX…] or Win32 apps [Intune package])
Proposes technical solutions to build scalable solutions and exhibit a pragmatic view on reducing technical debt.
Analyze business requirements and design technical architectures following best practices in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and technology specialists.
Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible.
Analyzes technical problems and troubleshoots them to prevent future occurrences.
Enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of while applying security measures plan accordingly the strategy of app deployments via Intune/SCCM having Pen test in mind for the successful results.
Translates technical requirements into understandable business language for end users.
Able to establish new standards for quality, performance, or productivity.
Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and determines course of action for new initiatives.
Skills
4+ years overall IT experience with 3+ years of experience in managing and maintaining Microsoft Windows environments using enterprise systems management tools such as SCCM, Intune.
Experience in deploying Windows 10/11 across an enterprise.
Application Distribution for Windows & MAC.
Use of packaging tools like Admin Studio, Wise Package Studio, Flexera and install Shield tools and virtualization Technologies, Application packaging using Win32 Content Prep tool, WCD, WinRAR, I Express, Visual Studio, etc.
LOB [MSI, MSIX, APPX…] or Win32 apps [Intune package]
Experience in creating and maintaining complex installers (Install Script and Windows MSI).
Experience in enterprise Desktop Management, and Electronic Software Distribution. Strong working knowledge of windows installer, MSI tables, windows registry entries, and installing system drivers.
Experience on Windows 10/11 Operating System
Strong PowerShell/VB Scripting skill
Experience with PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) packaging technology.
Excellent communication, writing, meeting facilitation.
Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
Global knowledge on IT Infrastructure, network, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory.
