We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Contracts Manager to oversee and manage contracts related to brand and intellectual property (IP) licensing.
Michelin Lifestyle:
The Lifestyle business division is a key contributor to Michelin Group’s growth ambitions in the beyond-tire domain. The scope of Michelin Lifestyle activities ranges from Travel, Gastronomy, Wine, Mobility, and Lifestyle products and services, through a portfolio of world-renowned brands such as The Michelin Guide, Michelin, Robert Parker Wine Advocates, Tablet Hotels, Via-Michelin, LeFooding, & BF Goodrich.
This position is within the Licensing business of Michelin Lifestyle and will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing licensing agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract law, intellectual property rights, and licensing frameworks, along with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Main expected activities:
• Act as a first upfront level of responsibility for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of licensing agreements, including brand licensing, trademark licensing, copyright agreements, and partnership contracts.
• Ensure all agreements comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, marketing, and business development teams, to align contract terms with business goals.
• Provide contractual support on trademark, copyright, and patent matters, ensuring proper brand protection and risk mitigation.
• Manage contract lifecycle processes, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Conduct due diligence and audits on potential and existing licensees, licensors, and business partners.
• Monitor and enforce contract compliance, including royalty payments, performance obligations, and usage guidelines.
• Maintain and organize a database of contracts, ensuring proper documentation and accessibility.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, intellectual property laws, and best practices in brand licensing.
• Support dispute resolution and enforcement actions related to licensing agreements.
Education and experience requirements:
• Master’s degree in Business Law or a related field
• Strong knowledge of intellectual property law, licensing structures, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
• At least 3 years' experience of working with licensing partners, legal teams and external counsel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a business-oriented approach to contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with international licensing agreements and global IP protection strategies.
• Experience in consumer goods, fashion, media, or lifestyle sectors.
Languages:
• English (Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking)
• French is a plus

Salary and benefits:
- Fixed salary from €55,000 depending on profile and experience.
