Zalau tires
The Zalău Tires plant was founded in 1977. The acquisition by the Michelin Group in 2001 also meant the application of new standards of quality, safety and production.
The Michelin Zalau Tires plant produces various types of truck tires, under the brands BFGoodrich, Taurus, Riken, Tigar and Orium, Michelin tires for industrial activities, subway, as well as other types of tires for specific activities. The tires produced here are intended for the markets of Europe, Africa, Asia and America.
Zalau cord
The Michelin Zalau Cord plant is a strategic unit for the Group through the production of metal assemblies, these being vital components in the production of tires. With over 90% of the production of metal cord for export, the Michelin Zalău Cord plant contributes to the production of tires for many Michelin plants on 3 continents, Europe, America and Asia.
