On September 14, a new generation of students started school in the dual education system at Mihai Viteazul Technological High School in Zalău and at Câmpina Energy Technological High School, supported by Michelin and other partner companies in these projects.
In the 2020-2021 school year, Michelin supports 20 students in Zalău (10 in the electromechanical qualification of industrial equipment and installations and 10 in the mechanical qualification of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment), and 10 students in Câmpina, specializing in low voltage electricity.
Dual education involves a theoretical part, in high school, complemented by practice in Michelin factories. Students receive a monthly scholarship, free meals and other facilities during the internship and have priority in employment in the company at the end of their studies.
In addition to the creation of these dual education classes, both in Zalău and in Câmpina, laboratories are created and equipped with the help of the Michelin Corporate Foundation, in which students can practice.
In Zalău, the dual education project started in 2018 with 14 students, to which 21 were added last year, and in Câmpina it started in 2019, with 10 students.
