On October 24, 2019, the second generation of students from the dual education system in Mihai Viteazul High School in Zalău visited the tire factory.
The 21 students who carry out their factory practice were introduced to the Group and Michelin activity in Zalău. They were also told about the importance of acquiring a qualification in fields that are desired on the labor market, as well as the role of the mechanic and the electromechanic in a factory - trades for which these young people are preparing.
Then came the visit to the factory, where the students had the opportunity to see the process of manufacturing a tire and to get a clearer picture of theire potential job after finishing their studies. The students were impressed by the mechanical workshop. They appreciated the way it is organized and the activities, from taking over a blackout alert in the BMA software and until it is resolved.
In this program, students undergo a practical training supported by Michelin trainers, in the high school laboratory, which has equipment provided by the Michelin Foundation, but also in the two factories.
