The Opportunity
Michelin is hiring! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Events Manager with a passion for and proven experience in creating unique and memorable events. A forward-thinking mentality, via events industry thought leadership, external benchmarking, key measures of success, mastery of digital tools and serving as guarantor of best practices is highly desired. Working in collaboration and partnership with members of the different business units, communication managers and agency partners, events will range from large sales / dealer conferences and incentive trips to motor sports activations to large internal corporate meetings.
This position leads the investigation of and recommendations to deliver the event objectives, including managing multiple events at a time. You will work with internal and external partners on creative development, partnering with potential agencies to assist with execution, engaging support roles to assist in execution of the events, selecting and coordinating the event venues, managing all logistics, budget and ensuring the safety and security of each event. Engage with partners and teams to lead all aspects of event communications, support brand and corporate requirements, monitor performance, and updates following the event. Come join our team!

This position is based at our headquarters in Greenville, SC, conveniently located within driving distance to east coast beaches, the Blue Ridge Mountains and large cities like Atlanta and Charlotte. What You Will Do
- Coordinate end-to-end event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual requirements, communications, etc.
- Develop and manage budgets for each event, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal & external teams to develop tailored proposals and strategies that align with the brands’ objectives and our company’s goals.
- Analyze event success against key performance indicators and implement improvements for future events.
- Function as the primary point of contact for assigned events, providing outstanding customer service and support to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and implement comprehensive event strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives to drive revenue growth.
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Event Management, Hospitality, or related field.
5+ years of professional event management experience, including tools like Cvent and Monday.com
Frequent travel and on-site presence at events that sometimes occur at night, over weekends, and occasionally on holidays.
Spanish and/or French language skills are a plus, valid passport.
Familiarity with Michelin and its offerings.
Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing multifaceted and/or even VIP-type events; strong understanding of the event life cycle including concepting, budgeting, communication, and project management.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with key stakeholders and partners.
Confidence in identifying potential hurdles in the planning process along with strong problem-solving and excellent time management skills.
High-level of attention to detail, great flexibility, and the ability to prioritize tasks and remain calm in stressful situations.
Critical thinking approach, able to develop and execute innovative events to further our partnership strategies.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, yet also individually, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Hybrid work schedule.
