As a Business Development Manager, you’ will report (functional) to the Head of Business Development and own the successful contracting, onboarding, and extended support of newly acquired hotel partners.
This role is critical in expanding our portfolio of direct hotel partners while maintaining the brand as a leader in the luxury hospitality industry across Latin America and other markets. You’ll learn the habits and trends of your markets in order to monitor competition and build long-term relationships with new hotel partners. Once contracted, you’ll work closely with your Distribution Manager to activate accounts and provide ongoing guidance ensuring hotels remain engaged by understanding our offerings within the luxury travel ecosystem.
This role is integral in ensuring the successful ROI for our hotel partners with MICHELIN Guide and Tablet Hotels. You’ll assist partners with rate setup for limited time sales, member only and insider rates, and other special rates while promoting our Plus program, the best-value hotel perks and benefits program in the industry.
Developing partnerships with longevity entails collaborative reporting of market insights and performance data through routine informational audits for accuracy, competitive pricing, and inventory availability across our platforms. While we have team initiatives, an entrepreneurial spirit and an evolving metrics-driven strategy to make your markets the highest producing is a must.
Periodic travel to markets you manage will be required.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in the hospitality or online travel agency industries in a sales, account management, or business development role
• Professional proficiency written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish
• Ability to analyze and present performance data clearly and strategically
• Experience working across international markets and time zones
• Travel 2–3 times per year within assigned regions
This is a hybrid position requiring weekly attendance in our Mexico City office.
